Linda Lost 30 Lbs. & 20 Inches!

Linda Barrows before & afterWhat are some obstacles/challenges faced?

MOTIVATION!  Motivation was the hardest part for me.  I have had several gym memberships over the years and I even went on a regular basis a few different times in the past but I never really felt motivated to go and I would eventually just stop going.  I wanted to lose weight, I wanted to get healthy but I just couldn’t get in the right mindset to do it and there was nothing and nobody at the gym to give me that kick I needed to stay on track.  When I was going to the gym it was boring… I would walk on the treadmill for an hour that felt like 3 hours and then I would run through the machines the whole time just wanting to be done and out of there.  It was not fun at all and instead was just a huge chore that I had to do at the end of an already busy and stressful workday so it was very easy to just blow it off.

With Boot camp it is an entirely different story.  It is fun and interesting and MOTIVATING!  Don’t get me wrong, you work your butt off (quite literally if you stick with it!) but all the other boot campers are so supportive to each other and we are always laughing and having a good time and Julia and Danielle motivate you to keep pushing and keep going and while the workouts can be hard they make them fun! so much so that before you know it the hour is up and you feel great, exhausted but great! 🙂  This is truly the first workout program I have ever done in my life that I actually look forward to going to every single time. I actually schedule the rest of my life around my workout schedule now.  In the past, I could come up with a million and one excuses of why I couldn’t make it to the gym, now I can come up with a million and one reasons why I want to go to class.

What advice would you give to others trying to lose weight/get healthy?

If you want to lose weight, get healthy and get personal training in a group atmosphere, Join Boot Camp!!! 🙂  TBR gives you all the tools and information you need to change your life both with exercise and your diet.  You absolutely do not have to starve yourself or limit yourself to bland boring meals or never have that cheat meal.  There are so many healthy delicious meals that you can have and still lose weight and be healthy.  And you can still treat yourself to your favorite cheat meal every now and then.  Being with a group of people who are all working for the same goal you are makes all the difference in the world and our group is awesome!  I found that setting smaller mini goals on the way to my final goal was very helpful.  It allowed me to celebrate my achievements all along the way and it kept me very motivated to keep working hard to the next goal.  You have to put your mind to it and everything else will follow.

Linda bahting suit after“TBR really has changed my life.  I have lost over 30lbs, and 20 inches and I feel 100% stronger. I used to have back and leg pain every day from a car accident I had 5 years ago, today all of that pain is gone! It has changed me physically but also mentally as well,  I am just a happier and healthier person all around and I know for a fact that it is all because of the decision I made 9 months ago when I found TBR and decided to try it out. BEST decision I ever made! 🙂  Thank you so much Julia!”
