Hard Work + Nutrition = RESULTS!

Per your request below is part one of Quick Dinner Ideas. Eating Clean really is half the battle. However, I can’t go into nutrition without going over the importance of keeping a food journal.

This is the first step in really analyzing your nutrition. You’re doing the hard work and we certainly do not want any efforts to be wasted. Calories In -VS- Calories Out!

It’s all about meal ideas! With time you will find new “clean” meal ideas that taste good and are good for you. Save empty calories for cheat meals.

I would definitely make a list of “clean” meal & snack ideas. Planning is key… if we don’t know what we are going to eat for the day or week it’s a free for all, which can be scary!

With hectic schedules and an amazing evening Boot Camp workout often, time & energy are limited. Ensure your fueling your body with nutrients and keep unwanted calories away!

Quick Dinner Ideas TIPS:

-Use Steam Fresh or frozen veggies or pre chop your veggies in advance.

-Pre grill your meats. Some great options are chicken breast, turkey or chicken patties & extra lean red meats (no more than once per week on the red meats).

-Couscous only takes 5 minutes and is loaded with nutrients. Steam Fresh does have a fast brown rice. You can also find fast cooking rice in the rice isle. *Make sure they are zero or low sodium. Choose the one highest in fiber and as always check the label for chemicals.

-Raw veggies pair nicely with grilled meats and are fast to prepare.

-make extra for leftovers.

-the Surf and Turf in Bellair will grill any meats and veggies M-T from 4-7 pm.

-When in doubt- Health Store it on out!!! Select Health Food stores such as Natures Finest (St. Pete) & Nature’s Food Patch (Clearwater) have a great selection of pre-made organic hot & cold meals.

Quick Dinner Ideas:

-Chicken or Tofu Stir Fry

Chicken, veggies & brown rice or sweet potato *To make this meal quick simply cook you r chicken in advance. We grill all our meats on Sunday. You can do a quick brown rice or couscous.

Turkey Veggie Loaf: See Recipe: https://totalbodyresults.com/turkey-veggie-meatloaf/

Grilled salmon & veggies: Baking or grilling fish does not take long at all.

Veggie rolls (Coconut Bay Veggie Rolls can be found at The Surf & Turf or your local health Food Store) *These only take 2 minutes to brown!

Turkey Tacos: Pair extra lean ground turkey (browned) with yellow corn taco shells, lettuce & salsa. *Tip: use one can No Salt Added tomatoes & simmer with meat. This gives the turkey an amazing flavor without all the sodium of taco seasoning.

Quesadilla: Use a combination of cheeses, like Fontina mixed with grated pecorino. Put on half of a large flour tortilla with pickled jalapenos, chopped onion, shallot or scallion, chopped tomatoes and grated radish. Fold tortilla over and brown on both sides in butter or oil, until cheese is melted.

-Ground turkey or chicken in whole-wheat pasta.

Pita Pizza (Yes I said the P word lol)

-Amy’s frozen pizza or fresh spinach pizza from Nature’s Food Patch (Deli section).

Healthy shake & bake chicken: This is how I do it: Preheat oven to 350, create an egg mixture with 2-4 eggs (you can do whites too), pour wheat germ & spices into large zip lock bag, pound & rinse chicken, dip chicken in egg, shake in nag & place in a greased baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes. *Use 1 tbsp all natural honey mustard sauce for dipping

Easy Vegetable Frittata: See Recipe: https://totalbodyresults.com/easy-vegetable-frittata/

A little planning goes a long way! Make an effort to eat a healthy “Clean” dinner filled with the nutrients you need to keep you going STRONG! It’s only 20 minutes out of your whole entire day– It’s just that easy! lol! *Inside joke for those of you who know my sayings better than me 😉
